MAHAL RAJAN

Well-Being Speaker | Trainer | Author, Metadestiny Pte Ltd

(In her 40's)

Her story (as shared by her nominator)

Mahal Rajan is an entrepreneur, speaker, trainer and author in the field of well-being, with a specialisation in resilience, change management, and self-care for optimal performance and success. She trains individuals and organisations to embrace change, navigate challenges, and thrive in their personal and professional lives.

In 2018, she was diagnosed with a critical medical condition. She had to undergo an open-heart surgery and a replacement of her heart valve due to Endocarditis. Before that, she was battling anxiety, worry and depression, contributing to a low immunity system. She survived the surgery and made the courageous decision to repurpose her life to positively impact others. Overcoming depression, she told herself that she was going to spend the remaining years of her life with purpose and vowed to live behind a legacy. She went on to begin her journey as an entrepreneur in the personal development space.

She went on to author 2 books after her surgery. Her book, "RePurposed - Finding the New You," reached the Amazon best-selling status and resonated with readers. Additionally, as a co-author of "Shaken, Stirred but not Deterred", Mahal has demonstrated her ability to collaborate with others to bring forth her powerful message of resilience.

I wholeheartedly believe that Mahal is a deserving candidate for this award. Her close brush with death, caused her to repurpose her life and use her strength and narrative to impact others. Her story of resilience, transformation, and unwavering dedication to empowering others is a testament to her passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Her personal crisis led her to make the decision to reach out and provide voice abs support to those who are in the same shoes as she was once in. Everyone has their share of ups and downs but not everyone, like my sister, makes it a life purpose to emerge from the ordeal to re-orchestrate one’s life to inspire others.

In her own words:

Greatest achievement

Starting my business to impact and transform lives in the space of Well-Being.

Biggest challenge thus far

Overcoming my critical illness but using that incident as the catalyst to propel me towards living my remaining life with purpose.
